PDF2Office Standard converts your PDF files into Microsoft Word or PowerPoint documents in seconds and retaining the overall structure and appearance of the original document. You can also use this powerful tool to extract the images or the text from a PDF document. It integrates seamlessly with both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint interfaces, and can be used directly on a file by right clicking on it and using the context menu.
PDF2Office Standard installs as a plug-in, allowing you to make your conversions directly within these two Microsoft Office applications. When called, this application opens a settings dialogue that will help you to customize each conversion process. You can convert the whole document or just a selection of pages; you can transform the whole contents of the PDF file or leave out the text or the images; you can tell PDF2Office to maintain the original layout, or create a “flowing text” version of it. The advance settings available will allow you to fine-tune your conversions by selecting your preferred hyphenation system, making more accurate font substitutions (when needed), font scaling, etc.
PDF2Office faithfully matches the original layout in the PDF file, reproducing in both Word and PowerPoint columns, tables, headers and footers, footnotes and endnotes, styles, paragraphs, and many more. What's new in version 5.1
Open and Convert PDF documents in Microsoft Excel 2000-2010
PDF2Office Standard now converts PDF files to the Microsoft Excel 97-2003 and 2007/201 formats. The converted data is optimally formatted which can be easily manipulated in Microsoft Excel. Cell shadings and border properties are applied where pertinent. Furthermore images and graphics are inserted and text frames are formed as appropriate.
Convert directly to Office 2007/2010 formats
PDF2Office Standard now directly converts PDF files to native Microsoft Excel 2007/2010, PowerPoint 2007/2010, and Word 2007/2010, formats (also known as the Office XML formats).
Typeface Library
PDF2Office Standard remembers and stores all font substitutions into a Typeface Library. This eliminates having to repeatedly specify font substitutions. The mappings in the Typeface Library can be replaced and overridden as required.
Enhanced Word and PowerPoint plug-ins
The Word and PowerPoint plug-ins have been enhanced to include the PDF Inspector and direct access to the Typeface Library interface has been provided.
Enhanced Preferences
The Preferences settings have been enhanced and furthermore provides an option to either convert to the Office 2003 or Office 2007 formats.
JPEG2000 image support
JPEG2000 images stored in PDF files are now properly recognized and converted.
PDF Reconstruction v4.5
PDF2Office Standard v5.0 now includes the latest PDF Reconstruction v4.5 engine offering dramatic enhancements when converting PDF documents, including enhanced graphics processing, and complex layout and PDF data recognition. General improvements have also been made in identifying footnotes and headers/footers.
Russian and Greek character support
Russian (Cyrillic) and Greek text in PDF files are now recognized and converted. |
